Erin Canty, MA, SAC, LMHC, is a graduate of Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health and Counseling Psychology. She holds licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Licensed School Social Worker/Adjustment Counselor. Erin has extensive experience working with youth, families and adults in a variety of settings, including clinic-based, residential treatment, foster care coordination and school-based settings. Erin is currently working as a School Social Worker within a local public school system, servicing a diverse population of youth and families. She is familiar with the needs of students with IEP’s and values the collaboration between schools and providers. Her practice embodies both traditional cognitive behavioral therapy and a variety of strength-based, holistic, client-centered models including Solution-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
