As a result, he is drawn towards a trauma informed and person-centered treatment with a strong foundation in Motivational Interviewing while pulling concepts from Solution Focused and Existential Therapy practices. Matt previously worked as a firefighter/paramedic for 15 years and has training in critical incident
stress management, along with peer support. He specializes in trauma and specifically enjoys working with first responders, healthcare workers, and educators. Matt also enjoys working with
emerging adults who are striving to be genuine to themselves as they work towards their goals. He appreciates an active lifestyle, most recently completing a cross country bicycle ride in 2022.
When not on my bicycle Matt can be found dog sledding and skijoring with his 3 Siberian Huskies during the winter months.
Statement of Care: My affinity for an active lifestyle further enhances my encouragement of others in finding the somatic exercises and activities that will facilitate their healing and authentic living.
